About the Practitioners

Rodney Hidlebaugh a Senior Physiotherapist with 25 years of Clinical Experience professional focus has transitioned toward the specialized field of vestibular rehabilitation, since 2013. As the Director of the myBalance team, he is an active contributor to the Queensland Vestibular Network, continuing to keep up to date with the best evidence in treating vestibular conditions. He annually attends the Neuro-Otology Society of Australia (NOTSA), to further himself in the knowledge  of this complex area, that is attended by Neurologists, ENT’s, Neuro-Otologists, General Practitioners, Audiologists, and Physiotherapists.

This shift was driven by his recognition of the need for advanced care for patients who had years of suffering from these disabling conditions.

He also saw the need to better service these patients referred by neurologists, ENT specialists, and General Practitioners from the less complex to very complex cases across Northern Queensland Australia.

Through his leadership, myBalance “Dizziness, Vertigo & Concussion Clinics”, he is working together with talented professionals dedicated to improving patient outcomes in vestibular and balance disorders.

Rod continues to advance his knowledge through ongoing education, including advanced vestibular training, courses/conferences around the globe. He strives to provide mentorship and education to peers in this rapidly evolving specialty.

His work reflects a commitment to combining clinical excellence with innovation, ensuring that both musculoskeletal and vestibular patients receive the highest standard of care.

Darcy Moran a dedicated Vestibular Physiotherapist with 5 years of Clinical experience and going into near her third year with myBalance Team is a valuable member of our team.
